Mr. Khalel Robinson

Instructor

Khalel Robinson began his taekwondo training at the age of seven.  He currently holds the rank of 1st degree black belt.  He has been with A.S.K Inc. for over ten years where he has been a member of the Black Belt Club and assisted in the instruction of the lower belt students.  Khalel also trains in the use of the escrimas and the bo staff. In addition to continuing his study in taekwondo, Khalel is also interested in pursuing studies in muay thai, wing chun, and kali.

 

Khalel is an honors student at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA where he is pursuing a major in mechanical engineering technology.  He is active in the National Society of Black Engineers-VA state chapter and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Khalel also enjoys playing the trombone and tennis.

Ms. Eliana Murrell

Instructor

Eliana Murrell began her martial arts career at the age of 8 in Kin Bushi Ryu Karate in Adelaide SA at her primary school. She joined A.S.K. in 7th grade at Newport Mill Middle School. She has been with A.S.K. for over 8 years, where she has been a member of the Black Belt Club, assisting with the instruction of lower belt students. She currently holds the rank of 1st degree black belt.

 

In addition to continuing her studies in Taekwondo, Eliana has also studied and hopes to pursue studying Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun, and Jiu Jitsu; and is a member of the Jiu Jitsu Club at her college. She trains with the sword, nunchucks, and bo staff. 

Eliana is an honors student at St. Mary's College of Maryland, pursuing a double major in Math and Chinese and hopes to become a math teacher someday.  She enjoys ice skating, cooking, playing the piano, erhu (traditional Chinese violin), badminton, and  tennis.

On her study abroad at Fudan University, Shanghai, China, she was a member of the Kung Fu Club and was honored to be able visit the Shaolin Temple in Henan Province.
