Belts

Students study martial arts to develop their personal abilities. Testing for Belt ranking is an important part of Martial Arts Training. It gives students attainable goals to reach and the self-confidence to perform in front of people. Students are recognized for their accomplishments and the attainment of different levels of skill by the color of the belt they wear on their uniform.

The Belt Test and Awards Ceremony is held at the end of each semester for those students who qualify to test.

There are no fees for Belt or Stripe Testing.

Students who qualify to test are notified by their instructor on the last day of regular classes, after the Stripe Test.

Students are tested by the Head Black Belt Instructor.

Awards are given either at the stripe test or the belt test depending on the award and whether or not the student is belt testing. Some of the awards are: "Most Improved Student", "Best Student", "Attendance Award" and "Homework Award".
