Mr. James Goodman

Mr. Goodman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and teacher with many gifts and talents.

Professional Martial Arts teaching and applied experience:

While in the United States Army training centers in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Mr Goodman taught self defense and deadly force attack scenarios in the various Army Ranger Training Programs for new recruits.

While in service in the Republic of Viet Nam, Mr. Goodman was awarded The

Distinguished Flying Cross, two Air Medals for aerial combat missions, The Army Accommodation Medal with  "V" Device for Valor and two Purple Hearts.

He is a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Association and the American Legion.

• Featherweight boxing champion ( 8-10 yrs.) Washington D.C. Metropolitan Boys

• Club 1959. 

• Jhoon Rhee School of Karate 1962 Gold Belt 

• Karate Center in Laurel, Maryland Green Belt. Master Don Batanga 1978 

• Greens Karate Center in Philadelphia, Pa., Black Belt. Master David Green 1980 

• 2nd Degree Black Belt earned in 2002.

• 4 th Degree Black Belt from ASK Martial Arts 4/10/2019
